11/26/2000: Micron presents his new memoirs

    The first impression is to be a chip thought-out and faced towards new DirectX 8 of Microsoft. These, in contrast to previous versions, give a control much bigger than the developers on diverse geometric aspects, of renderizado, textures, shades and lighting, what is translated in a major need for potency, aspect in which the NV20 will not defraud.

11/24/2000: RAMPAGE + SAGE, new bet of future of 3dfx

    3dfx, that inaugurated the new age of the cards 3D, is in a difficult situation. 11/23/2000: Intel shows how the AGP will be 8X

    ATI took very seriously the need to face the NVIDIA GeForce2 GTS and did it with his graphic card RADEON. Now it touches him the turn to do the same with the GeForce2 MX, both in price and in services; and for it it has presented the ATI RADEON SEES (I valued Edition).

    ATI has presented in the COMDEX Fall (one of the biggest computer fairs, which is celebrated in Las Vegas, Nevada) his new chipset S1-370 TL for mikes Intel. The news would be little more than anecdotal if it was not because it is the first chipset with video integrated with support by hardware of T&L (Transformation and Lighting).
    Also, the characteristics of the integrated checker of video, without being spectacular, make him suitable for any type of use, although far from the ATI RADEON or the NVIDIA Geforce2 GTS. 11/20/2000: New Pentium 4: some lights and not few shades

    Finally, the awaited thing has been confirmed: Intel has thrown today officially his mike of new generation, the Pentium 4, in versions of 1,4 and 1,5 GHz. The new mike has an architecture very different from that of his predecessor Pentium III (who in fact was quite similar to Pentium II), and thanks to this Intel hopes to reach 2 GHz at the end of the year 2001.
    Nevertheless, the different architecture does that him could not be compared straight with other mikes of the market. According to the first tests of yield, like the realized ones by
AnandTech, the Pentium 4 of 1,4 and 1,5 GHz would be in a level of very similar yield (and sometimes low) in that of the AMD Athlon of 1 and 1,2 GHz (especially if memory DDR-SDRAM is used by these).

11/20/2000: NVIDIA enters on the chipsets market

    The last news proceeding from NVIDIA is the imminent presentation of a new chipset for basic badges, with support (for the time being) for the processors Socket A of AMD. Of characteristics more that interesting, he makes use of the developments realized by NVIDIA for the console X-Box of Microsoft (that will use the same SouthBridge as the new chipset).
    First of all, two versions will be offered: one with 64 bits and other one with 128 band bits for the transference with the memory (that, of course, will be DDR-SDRAM and not RAMBUS).
    Of course, and talking each other of a manufacturer of chips graphs, it will include like integrated checker of video the whole GeForce2 MX, with what the final quality of a computer mounted with this device will be much bigger than what his price could make presuppose; it was finished speaking about bad yields in the chipsets with integrated graphic checker. And just in case, also it will include a groove AGP 4X.
    Now only it is missing for seeing if Intel grants license to NVIDIA to make his chipset also for processors Intel Pentium III or Pentium 4. Let's hope that yes... and that the rest of manufacturers of chipsets should continue at a height of the "beginner" NVIDIA.
