3/4/2001: Intel sponsors the RDRAM... while he designs chipsets for the DDR-SDRAM

    Worried by the most scarce acceptance of the memory RDRAM (Direct Rambus-DRAM), the only memory that can use the only one chipset that exists for Pentium 4, Intel has decided to promote the use of the above mentioned memory for any method.
    This way, Intel will keep on paying to Samsung so that it produces memory RDRAM. Samsung makes more than 70 % of the memory RDRAM that sells at present, and has been the only company that has reacted favorably to the Intel offers; the rest they have rejected the offers... or have accepted the money but they have not made scarcely memory RDRAM.
    In fact, many Pentium 4 sell thanks to the offer of Intel to "give" two modules of 64 MB of RDRAM with every team... but the fright of the users comes when they discover that another 128 MB of RDRAM PC800 "not sponsored" cost approximately 200 $, I joust when the SDRAM PC133 is to a few wretched 40 $ every 128 MB.
    And since the industry has been decided by the memory DDR-SDRAM for the future, between other things by the relatively low necessary investment to re-convert the production lines of SDRAM to DDR-SDRAM, Intel glides to use memory DDR in his futures chipsets, included the destined ones for servants, both of 32 and of 64 bits. 3/2/2001: USB renewed for the future badges Pentium 4

2/28/2001: The first analyses independent from the chip GeForce3 definitive

    Finally NVIDIA has thrown officially his awaited graphic chip GeForce3 (also called NV20).
